What might change if those who care for others were truly cared for themselves?
After one of the most demanding days of his ministry, Elijah found himself exhausted and afraid under a broom tree in the wilderness. Though God had moved powerfully through him, Elijah felt inadequate, depleted, and ready to give up. In that quiet place, God did not rebuke Elijah—He met him with gentleness. An angel provided rest, nourishment, and strength for the journey ahead.
The broom tree became a pause moment—a place where God sustained Elijah before leading him forward.
Ministry leaders today still experience seasons like this. After intense giving, responsibility, and pressure, many find themselves weary, questioning, and in need of care. Often, God meets them first through a willing participant—a messenger of rest and support—before guiding them into what’s next.

At Desert Road Ministries, our prayer is to be that willing participant: offering shade, nourishment, and compassionate care to ministry leaders and their families.
So, what might change if those who care for others were truly cared for themselves? Let’s find out together.
