Misael “Mitch” Garcia, M.Div, MA.Ed
Advisory Council Member
Brief info
Even though Misael grew up in a Christian home, he truly surrendered to the Lord 10 years ago. When he was younger, living a lukewarm life without a godly foundation felt like a roller coaster. One day the Holy Spirit touched Misael's heart and he decided to follow the Lord 100%. Since then, his life has been transformed, and he has not looked back. While teaching Sunday school at his local church, Misael felt the call to ministry and the desire to learn more about the Scriptures. Even though there have been highs and lows in his ministry, the Lord has never forsaken him.
Misael served 20 years in the U.S Navy, is an ordained minister, and currently volunteers as a Bible teacher at his local church. Additionally, he is in the process of becoming a chaplain in the Texas State Guard. He believes he can contribute to Desert Road Ministries through his experiences in the military, corporate America, and the church, offering a different perspective on ministry. His favorite spiritual practice is sharing the Gospel and encouraging those walking with Jesus.
Misael holds graduate degrees from The George Washington University, Dallas Theological Seminary, and a Master of Divinity from Southern Seminary. He is currently a doctoral student at Pepperdine University.
